The Managing Director of the Nigerian Ports Authority, Hadiza Bala Usman has disclosed that the deadline for operators to register in the electronic call-up system is February 27, 2021.
The MD disclosed this in a meeting with the Lagos State Governor, Babajide Sanwo-Olu on Tuesday, stating that the scheme would improve its relationship with the Lagos State Government.
“The deadline for the commencement of the electronic call-up system is Feb. 27, 2021, and we are here to strengthen collaboration with the Lagos State Government.
he Nigerian Ports Authority (NPA) said its electronic call-up system for trucks has taken off.
It would be recalled that the management of the Nigerian Ports Authority announced, In January 2021, the commencement of Eto, the Electronic Truck call-up system, designed for the management of truck movement and access to and from the Lagos Ports Complex and the Tin Can Island Ports, Apapa, Lagos.
This development necessitates all trucks doing business at the ports to park at the approved truck parks until they are called up into the port through the Eto app. The NPA also hinted that the Eto app will be responsible for the scheduling, entry and exit of all trucks into the ports with effect from Feb. 27.
It, therefore, enjoined all transporters, trucks owners and truck drivers to download the Eto App from Google play store or sign up at https://t.co/fYbOgUQKhD before the commencement date to enable them to register accordingly.
